Collage with google eyes.

This is all very exciting! Everytime I create something new, I discover:
-new interesting ways to use materials
-the wonderful variety and power of color
-unexpected compositions and imagery that come from intuition, not logic (but in retrospect, make more sense and provide more insight then anything I would have 'thought up' and planned through concious effort.)

Those are so friggin' neat!! I'm surprised at how googly eyes can work so well as graphic elements.
My favorite's the first one, all the mediums really tie in well together to make up the textures, colors and overall composition. The little pack of energizer batteries is a great color/texture echo with the (awesome) lock of hair, even though it's so tiny. Great stuff keep it up!
Oh and btw, I'll only be in California for a couple weeks this summer and will spend the rest of the vacations in Montreal (I'll probably go to New-Brunswick for a week too at some point), so anytime you wanna come down for a visit, do it!

I'm sad to hear that you're not going to get to spend your summer in California... but on the other hand I DO like the chance that I can come visit you now, so yay! Are you going to New Brunswick to visit Mario? Good times!

Melissa- yay, it's great to hear from you! But I'm sorry, google-eyes and you can't be like THIS, because that would mean that they're cheating on me. Google eyes are MY man... uh, woman.... uh, inanimate object... token... zeh... Ok, we can share them.
If you're actually serious about wanting that collage, I can bring it with me when I come back to Alberta to visit at the end of August. (I don't really have a frame for it, though...) Dude, I gotta email you, it's been too long. :D
